11 things from Sephora I use each day
+ 6 new things I ordered to try from the sale this year!
Hello and happy Friday!
Coming to your inboxes with an extra post this week to celebrate the beginning of the Sephora sale and the holiday season 🪔🍁🕯✨🎄
11 things from Sephora I use each day
The Sephora sale is a great time to restock on essentials and try out a few new things! When I think of my favorite Sephora beauty purchases of all time, these 11 items have withstood the test of time and are something that I use every day. I have purchased all of these items with my own money and believe they are high quality products that I’d recommend to anyone. Are any of these items in your own “favorites of all time” list? Let me know in the comments below!
Biossance Squalane + Probiotic Balancing Gel Moisturizer* ($54): This is my daytime moisturizer - it doesn’t irritate my skin and is very lightweight.
Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Deep Hydration Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid* ($60): I use the thicker version overnight and it packs a powerful moisturizing punch. Great for daytime use during winter months too! These are a bit pricey, so I only purchase during the sales.
CLINIQUE High Impact Mascara* ($26): The OG - I hate waterproof mascara and this one is magical - it doesn’t smudge or bleed while I have it on and easily wipes off with water at the end of the day.
Paula's Choice RESIST Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50* ($39): My favorite SPF moisturizer of all time was the old version of the Oil of Olay cream; unfortunately they changed the formula a few years ago and it made me breakout. I was in denial for a few months but finally bit the bullet and went down a rabbit hole to find the perfect new SPF - I thought Supergoop was going to be for me, but it broke me out too. This was the winner and I’ve used it ever since - it’s a little pricey but it provides a powerful 50 SPF and is very lightweight and doesn’t break me out at all.
Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo* ($53): I’ve used this shampoo for years and I always buy it when I run out during sale in the largest size.
Oribe Intense Conditioner for Moisture & Control* ($52): I find that the conditioner that matches the previous shampoo isn’t as moisturizing as I’d like, so I actually use the "Moisture & Control” version instead. It leaves my hair feeling soft without any residue. I use the smallest pea sized amount and one bottle can last me well over a year.
MERIT Flush Balm Cream Blush in Beverly Hills* ($30): I love Merit blushes - the formula is creamy and I love that you can spread the product with your fingers or a brush. There are several shades, but Beverly Hills is the perfect peachy pink on my skin tone. I use this blush more during the warmer months as there a slight sheen to the finish.
Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Lip + Cheek Cream Blush Stick in Chouchette* ($48): I also love Westman Atelier blushes for the same reasons I mentioned earlier! Chouchette is the perfect peachy pink for me and I use this more during the winter months as the finish is a bit more matte.
MERIT Signature Lip Lightweight Satin Lipstick in Millenial* ($26): Merit does so many things well, including their lipsticks. I had a chance to try all 3 formulations via the Dress Code Set* and while I liked them all and adored the colors, I feel that the Satin is the one I reach for the most. The shade Millenial is the perfect “my lips but better shade” and is the one I use most.
ILIA The Necessary Eyeshadow Palette in Warm Nude* ($40): This is a great versatile eyeshadow palette, but the reason it has been included in this list is because of the dark brown shade on the bottom right, which is the perfect formulation and shade for me to use as a soft eyeliner. I have searched high and low for an alternative option as it can be quite bulky to carry around the full palette for travel, but I just haven’t found anything better. If anyone from Ilia is reads this, would you consider selling individual eyeshadows?
SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Eyeliner Brush #22* ($18): This is the brush I use to apply the Ilia eyeshadow as soft eyeliner! I think it is much better than other eyeliner brushes I have seen because the bristles are quite packed and stiff, so you can really draw the eyeliner line the way you’d like.
